SF Hula was produced and directed by Jim Yager back in 2001 for Union Bank and KQED Television. Since then, it has appeared countless times on PBS stations and become a You Tube phenomenon, with well over 1,000,000 views. Originally shot in 16mm film by cinematographer Bill Corona, this Bay Area favorite has been recently restored and upgraded to HD thanks to Union Bank and Spy Post in San Francisco.
Self-Help for the Elderly began serving seniors in San Francisco’s Chinatown community in 1966, providing social services and hot meals to low-income and isolated elderly. Today, Self-Help for the Elderly serves over 35,000 seniors each year in San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Alameda counties. This clip is an excerpt from a video JYM produced celebrating Self-Help’s 40th Anniversary.
The Graduate Theological Union (GTU) is the largest and most diverse partnership of seminaries and graduate schools in the US. Their nine seminaries and several affiliate programs offer students from around the world the opportunity for a unique ecumenical and interfaith education. This video was produced by JYM as part of a capital campaign, and to educate potential donors about the GTU and it’s mission.
Since 1985, Asian American Recovery Services (AARS) has been dedicated to decreasing the incidence and impact of substance abuse in the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.
